Limbo of the Lost Wiki

Limbo of the Lost contains several cinematic sequences. Some of these appear to use video captures of other commercial products. The screenshots below are listed by the product from which the original art appears to have been taken. If a screenshot contains art from more than one source, it is noted. You can find the content of the Bonus DVD as well as the trailers for the game on Youtube.

Crysis and Unreal Tournament 2004[]

The brief scene of a flyby over an island, shown in the trailer and in the Bonus DVD's extended intro, is taken from the CryEngine 2 demo. This same sequence also contains shots of an Unreal Tournament 2004 map CTF-Aedes.

Spawn[]

The game's intro features a scene of Briggs falling down a fiery tunnel. This scene was taken from the live-action film Spawn.

Trailer for the original product

These video sequences are used in the trailer and the intro movie on the bonus DVD. They appear to be from a Pirates of the Caribbean game, which was made by Akella and published by Bethesda Softworks. This game was originally under development as Sea Dogs 2 (or Корсары 2 in original Russian).

Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl[]

During the trailer and the Bonus DVD's extended intro, there is a shot of a ship during a storm and a shot of someone being flooded by waves. Both of these come from the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl", 1 hour and 3 minutes in.

The in-game intro.

0:35 is the stormy ship shot.

Unconfirmed/Disputed[]

ScreenHunter 13-Jun.-16-21.

During the trailer and the Bonus DVD's extended intro, there is a shot of a man who falls off a boat during a stormy night. It was suspected that this shot is from "Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl", "Master and Commander", or "Mary Shelley's Frankenstein", but no such shots are present in these movies.
